Day 1: Lima

At your arrival at the airport Jorge Chávez of Lima, you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 2: Lima - Arequipa

You will be transferred to the Lima airport to take your flight.



Flight to Arequipa.

Arrival in Arequipa's airport and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: Arequipa - Yanque

Morning departure by private car to the Colca Valley (4-5 hours). Colca Canyon is one of the deepest in the world with 3680 meters high. Then you will cross the National Reserve and will pass by the collar Patapampa. During the trip you will see beautiful landscapes and vicunas and other camelids.
Installation at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will stroll to the ruins of Uyo Uyo offering panoramic views of the southern slope of the Colca Valley.

Day 4: Cruz del Condor - Callali - Tres Cañones

Departure at sunrise to Cruz del Condor, ideal observation point of the majestic Andean Condor. Road to the villages of Sibayo and Callali with interesting rock formations. Picnic lunch on the way towards Sukuytambo (about 4 to 5 hours drive).
After 30 minutes, arriving at 3 cañones, entanglement of multiple canyons, wooded of Quenuales, ancient trees that grow at least at an altitude of 3800 m.

Overnight camp or at the inhabitant.

Day 5: Tres Cañones - Puno

After breakfast, free time at 3 cañones to enjoy the beautiful landscape before visiting the archaeological site of Maria Fortaleza and take a short hike to reach its highest part. Discovery of the extraordinary panorama of the site before hitting the road again towards Maukallacta and its funerary tower, considered as the best preserved one in South America.
Transfer to Puno.

Day 6: Puno - Anapia

Departure in a private vehicle for the Bolivian / Peruvian border. Along the way we will visit the village of Pomata with its magnificent baroque chapel that shows mestizo influences. In Punta Hermosa we will meet José, the president of the Anapia archipelago community (also known as the Archipelago of Wiñaymarca), made up of eight small islands. We will take a one-hour boat trip to get to the main island today and settle in and have lunch with a local family. In the afternoon we will find out about our island hosts' customs and traditions (depending on the season you may help out with planting, harvest, milking cows or fishing) and then at the end of the day we will go on a short walk to watch the sunset with the majestic snowy peaks of the Bolivian Royal Cordillera in the background. Dinner and overnight stay. Note: night with a local inhabitant in a private room, sheets, blankets, shared bathroom with hot water.

Day 7: Anapia - Puno

After breakfast we will depart by sailboat for Yuspike Island and its Vicuña protection area. Two-hour hike that will take us to the lookout point where we can take in 360 degree views of the Anapia Archipelago; we can also observe Andean medicinal plants all along the paths. Outdoor traditional lunch (Huatia where foods are cooked in the ground). Return trip to Puno from Yuspique.

Day 8: Puno - Cutimbo - Lampa

Departure in a private vehicle for the funeral towers at Cutimbo. These archaeological stone structures from the Lupaca culture stand at over 10 meters tall and have beautiful carved details. Nearby you can also visit cave paintings that are over 8000 years old. Countryside lunch stop and then we continue on toward Lampa, a village also known as the "pink city". This pink village is very well preserved and contains a renaissance church that houses a replica of Michelangelo's Pietá, a famous statue in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Night in an old Casona mansion that belonged to the Frisancho family for several generations.

Day 9: Lampa - Tinajani - Cusco

Along the way we will see a strange plant, the Puya Raymondi, also know to locals as the Tikatika plant. Related to the pineapple, this plant can reach over 10 meters high and lives for around one hundred years, flowering only once with 5000 buds before it withers and dies. We will arrive at the impressive Tinajani Canyon by the end of the morning and take in the amazing rock formations that are worthy of any western American national park. We will take a walk through this volcanic landscape and enjoy a picnic lunch. Transfer to Cusco at the beginning of the afternoon.

Day 10: Cusco

Day 11: Cusco - Maras - Moray - Ollantaytambo - Moray - Aguas Calientes

Departure at 8.30am in a private vehicle for the salt flats in Maras and then we head on to the cultural site of Moray, known for terraces that were an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory. In the early afternoon we travel on to Ollantaytambo where we will visit the fortress.
Lunch in the restaurant Parador de Moray.

Departure for a 2 hours ride by train to Aguas Calientes. The Vistadome's wagons are completely covered with glass for a panoramic view throughout the journey.

Day 12: Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

In the early morning, direct connection to the shuttle service that will drive you to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Arrival to Machu Picchu, wonder of the world.

Machu Picchu is an ancient Inca city of the fifteenth century in Peru. Abandoned during the collapse of the Inca Empire, Machu Picchu sacred city, forgotten for centuries, is considered as a masterpiece of Inca architecture. It was unveiled in 1911 by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham.

Train back to Ollantaytambo.

Day 13: Cusco - Lima
